Take a drive 18,360 ft, above the sea level through Khardung la Pass to Nubra Valley. The route to Nubra brings you to the miraculous Hunder, and the cultural experience at Diskit. After a short action packed spell comes the most placid and an experience that is close to heaven, the sight of Pangong and Tso Morori Lake. Close your eyes and you become part and parcel of the cosmos!

Day 1 | Arrival Delhi

Arrive at New Delhi International airport, and meet our representative waiting for you with your name board at the exit gate no. 6 of Terminal 3. You will be introduced to your private driver by the representative, who will assist you in getting transferred to your pre-booked hotel. This day is to relax to get rid of the jetlag. Overnight in Delhi

Day 2 | Delhi – Leh

Meet our driver early in the morning to get transferred to New Delhi airport to board the train flight to Leh. The capital of Ladakh can be found at 3505 m higher than the sea level and is towards the eastern parts of Jammu and Kashmir. The Zanskar River irrigate the Leh, which flows into the Indus River just below. Falling of side valley that narrows north towards snow-capped peaks and on the other by a cover of lush watered farmland. Leh is a beautiful place along with so many amazing attractions and is the center of Tibeto-Buddhist culture for times. On arrival, you will be greeted by our local representative who will transfer you to the hotel. This day will be for acclimatization before we head on the Ladakhi adventure.

Day 3 | Leh

On this day you will be taken for full day excursion to visit Stok Palace: Around 14 Kms from Leh, across the Choglamsar Bridge. The Stok Palace was built by King Tsespal Tondup Namgyal in 1825. The present Royal family resides at Stok Palace and its Museum has vast collection of thankas, traditional clothing and ornaments from Royal family. Visit Shey Monastery: 15 Km south of Leh, an erstwhile Royal residence up to 16th century, located on the banks of Indus River and is managed by Buddhists Monks from Hemis Monastery. Visit the prime attraction of the monastery the beautifully decorated blue haired Maitreya Buddha of 17.5 m high, made up with copper and brass with studs of precious stones.
Afternoon, continue your drive towards south to visit Hemis: the largest monastery in Ladakh, built in 1630. It belongs to the red sect, Brokpa and lies at a distance of 45 km south of Leh. Impressive and intriguing, Hemis is different from the other important monasteries of Ladakh. The annual festival, commemorating the birth anniversary of Guru Padmasambhava, held for two days in June-July, enlivening the courtyard of the monastery.
On your way back to Leh visit Thiksey Monastery is located 20 km from Leh and is situated on a hillock overlooking the Indus Valley with full face view of the magnificent Stok range. Overnight in Leh.

Day 4 | Leh – Nubra Valley

Following today’s breakfast, you will be driven to the picturesque Nubra Valley! Also called the ‘Valley of Flowers’ of Ladakh, this scenic valley is the home to the enchanting sand dunes and is a true natural marvel in Ladakh. The drive will take you through the majestic Khardung La Pass at 18,360ft; it is the highest motorable pass in the world.
Arriving in Nubra Valley, you will be checked-in at a campsite. After getting freshened up at the camp, you will be guided to Hunder to witness the miraculous beauty of the sand dunes. While in Hunder, you can also enjoy the double-humped Bactrian camel safaris across the sand dunes and explore the enchanting beauty of the arid desert in Ladakh.
Following your exciting camel rides, you will be driven to the Diskit village, where you can have a sneak-peak of the local culture and life. Post this, you will be driven back to the camp for your overnight stay.

Day 5 | Nubra Valley – Leh

As you wake up in the morning, you will be served with a delicious breakfast; enjoy the surreal beauty of the morning while munching on your morning meal! Post this, you will be visiting the quaint Yarab Tso Lake. Following your visit, you will be driven back to Leh city through the towering Khardung La Pass. With your arrival in the city, you will be checked-in into a hotel for your overnight stay.

 

Day 6 | Leh – Pangong Lake

Today’s drive will take you through the great Chang La Pass (17,500ft) and will follow the route that crosses Durbuk and Tangtse hamlets in Changthang region. The entire drive is filled with scenic views all around; feast on the irresistible beauty of the vicinity while driving to the Pangong Tso Lake!
Upon arrival at the Pangong Tso Lake, take your own time to explore its miraculous beauty and check-in into a camp. Relax, unwind and laze around the Pangong Tso Lake till the evening and retire for the night in your camp.

Day 7 | Pangong Lake – Tso Moriri Lake

This day will start quite early in the morning, and will take you towards the pictorial Tso Moriri Lake that boasts of being the largest and one of the highest lakes (15,075ft) in the entire of Ladakh. The drive will take you through Kharu region; en route, you will be visiting Chumathang hot springs.
Continuing further, you will be passing the Mahe bridge, and will finally reach the magical Tso Moriri Lake by evening; on the way, you can spot Himalayan Marmots as well. Arriving the lakeside by evening, you can indulge in birdwatching and revel in the enchanting beauty of the Tso Moriri Lake; overnight stay will be arranged in tented camps.

 

Day 8 | Tso Moriri Lake to Leh

Waking up early in the morning, enjoy a delicious breakfast and leave the campsite to drive to Leh city while visiting the Tso Kar Lake. The drive will take a halt at Puga Geo Thermal Gas Springs; you will be visiting the tents of the Nomadic Rebo tribes near to the Polo-Kongka Pass, and will finally reach the Tso Kar Lake. Post this visit, the drive will continue towards Leh, and will wind up with your arrival in the city; overnight stay will be arranged in a hotel in Leh.

Day 9 | Leh – Uleytokpo

This morning, drive to Uleytokpo, en-route visit village of Nimo, photostop at River Zanskar and Basgo Fort. Visit Buddhist monastery Likir Monastery or Likir Gompa (Klud-kyil) located approx. 52 kms. west of Leh. It is picturesquely situated on a little hill in the valley near the Indus River. It belongs to the Gelugpa sect of Tibetan Buddhism and was established in 1065. Visit the oldest and most famous Buddhist monastery Alchi Monastery or Alchi Gompa, known more as a monastic complex (chos-‘khor) of temples in Alchi village. It is administered by the Likir Monastery. After visit, continue your drive to Uleytokpo. Upon arrival, check-in into your camp.

 

Day 10 | Uleytokpo

After today’s breakfast, you will be guided for a full day sightseeing tour in Uleytokpo. The tour will first take you to a moonscape region, and then to Lamayuru Monastery where you can witness ancient wall paintings, murals, thangkas, and much more. Post this, you will be visiting the Rizong Nunnery, a home to almost 40 monks that was built in 1831 by Lama TsultimNima.
Depending on the availability of time and your convenience, you can also indulge in a day hike to the scenic Rizong village or a short ascend to Gera-Lardo hamlet across the gurgling Indus River; overnight stay will be in a resort or a hotel in Uleytokpo.

Day 11 | Uleytokpo – Leh

Today after having breakfast in Uleytokpo, you will be driven back to Leh city! The drive will take you through some of the major Ladakh attractions like the 11th century Spituk Monastery, Magnetic Hill, and Hall of Fame. Your late afternoon arrival in Leh will be followed by your checking-in into a hotel. Come evening, you can make it to the local market area and get some souvenirs for your way back home; overnight will be spent at the hotel.

 

Day 12 | Leh

After breakfast, full day visit of a Buddhist monastery called Sankar Monastery or Sankar Gompa (3 kms from Leh). It is a daughter-establishment of Spituk Monastery and the residence of the Abbot of Spituk. The Venerable Kushok Bakula, the senior incarnate lama of Ladakh due to his ancient lineage and personal authority.
Afternoon, visit Namgyal Tsemo Gompa founded in the early 15th century, around the year 1430. It stands atop the crag behind Leh palace, having a full view of the town of Leh. The Namgyal Tsemo Gompa was founded by King Tashi Namgyal. It boasts of a rich collection of some ancient manuscripts and wall paintings. Shanti Stupa: (3 km from Fort Road, Leh) Japanese Stupas made for world peace. Shanti Stupa is located at Changspa on the hilltop and was inaugurated by Dalai Lama in 1985. Return back to your hotel in Leh for overnight stay.

Day 13 | Leh – Delhi – Fly back home…

Wind up all your exciting memories of Ladakh tour and enjoy your morning meal.
